CPU Disappearing

I was checking my CPU for installing Sims 2. It seems to have dissapeared. It is supposed to be 256, which sims requires and it says it has 224. What causes this and how do I get it back????? I'm thinking I should forget about Sims 2.

It appears to me you are looking at ram not cpu.
If you are seeing anything then the cpu is fine, not
every program will report ram the same so a diff of
256 to 224 tell me you may have onboard video
sharing system ram.
try everest for complete sys info.
