CPU pin broke off

Bent pins can be carefully bent back. Broken pins can be soldered back in although I've never done it myself (never had broken pins). I'm sure you can find YouTube videos on the subject or you can take it to a repair shop.

Eh I dont think this chip is salvageable at this point. too many pins got bent. I tried realigning the pins as instructed by some yt videos with a small needle but theyll never get bk to their perfect alignment.

Guess I have more of a reason to upgrade.. Kinda silly to go on one major mistake by my part though. Lesson bloody learnt.

You could take it to a repair shop for an evaluation and see what they say. They might have better tools to fix pins. OTOH, if you don't think it's worth it, then never mind.

I'll actually look at this. I feel that I completely killed this cpu's chances of survival trying one after another. Im pretty sure the pins got far worse. I think I actually ended up bending more.

As I said I messed up I realize my fault and im kinda accepting defeat. But I guess second hand opinion would make sense before I put it on the shelves forever.

I was gonna upgrade to zen2 anyhow. This thing just hurt my soul though.

Next time you run into some bent CPU pins.. (If none of them are bent over completely flat..) use a credit card, go row by row in at 0 and 90 degrees..
