DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL afd.sys

DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL adf.sys

Hi all,

Hopefully, someone can help me out with this problem.
My system is randomly(once in a while) getting this error:

DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL

I didn't write down the exact error message, but it seem to be a problem
with adf.sys file

Here is my spec:
Dell Precision 650
Dual Xeon 3.06G
Ram 2G
HD SCSI 36G
Network Intel Pro/1000 MTW
SoundMax Integrated Digital Audio

Hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

From only one minidump it is difficult to be 100% sure. Zip 5, or 6 minidumps together and post them here.

Your minidump crashes at Vax347b.sys. This is a driver for Alcohol 120%.

Try uninstalling, and reinstalling the programme. Check for any updates, or patches etc.

First of all, let me thank you for such a fast response. I wish I found out about this site earlier. I will post the minidump file again when it crash. Also I will try to reinstall the program as you suggest.

Again, thank you so much.

I forgot to mention, that if after uninstalling/reinstalling etc, there is no improvement. Uninstall the programme permanantly.

I have a similar problem

Hello,

The last 3 entryes in "ntbtlog" are:

Loaded driver \SystemRoot\System32\Drivers\Fastfat.SYS
Did not load driver AFD.SYS
Did not load driver AFD.SYS

the message in the BSOD is "IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"
then, STOP 0x00..00A (0x000..000, 0x0..002, 0x0..001, xxx)
where ".." reprez the zero-es (don't remember how many) and "xxx" an hexadecimal address ..

I can only boot in "SafeMode" nothing else works ..
in "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\AFD\Parameters" there are no entries (keys, values) - as I read on a formul (german, translated with google) it was suposed to caontain Name, EnableDynamicBacklog, etc (they were not verry specific)

I will attach some minidump files I found on my cpu (except one in system32\dllcache), hopefully you will be able to give me some pointers

Thanks!
