Gamers are ditching Radeon graphics cards over driver issues

Odd, how do you have two bad cards... and others not..? Your issue of overheating and black screen is there... seems u know.the problem, but don't care?

And if you look, a bad gpu is the problem, not the drivers. unless.everyone would be having the issue. You are IT, u have to know this.
Except my card is not overheating at all and it is fine. The drivers are just bugged.
But I know, speaking with fanboys is a waste of time.

I own EVGA. I don't own Navi. All my clan members do, built their rigs, not a single problem... and you have two bad cards. And u don't have a clue as to what you are doing when it driver faults...

hunh..

Well Xbox-es overheated (not all units) and how they solved that problem? They didn't. They released a newer version of the console. At least AMD is consistent, I expect big navi to burn, literally.

The previous Xbox didn't use rdna2. Your comment make no sense, because rdna2 is 50% more performance/per watt over rdna1... not Xbox OneX.

Subsequently, your above^ expectations might be better held for nVidia. As we know their gaming cards ended up on Samsung's node, and Ampere got more bloated and power hungry.

My card is perfectly working.
You are just worshiping AMD as usual.
The drivers are bugged as reported by many users.

I don’t have a “clan”, dude, but I’m working in IT since 1993

Wait, you are telling me you are not familiar with xbox 360 overheating issues? That's all AMD hardware in there...

You took that to the letter and of course that meant that I meant that even the plastic was made by amd, paint too. Because I am that stupid of course.

Exactly. So what was the problem? AMD made chip that overheated even Microsoft had built sufficient cooling to keep it cool enough? Pretty amusing 90nm chip indeed, overheats no matter what cooling is used :joy:

Or was it that AMD's chip overheated because Microsoft wanted to make "good looking" console and cooling was subpar?

Anyway, AMD's fault of course.

Windows in 8 is the answer for me very stable better than win 10 I tried for 7 months also run stock ram speed .
also It's amd fault they should apologize for not helping millions of customers or guide them through this BIg issue .
if new Gpu can'r run direct 9 ,10 or 12 well then it's should Not be lunched never .I hope Rdna 2 fail again . I'm sure they will .

2 years and still we have the same problem. Much worse now and many of us cannot use our computer at all. The system is bricked due to windows updates of drivers running at the same time as the AMD installs, and the rolling back attempting to do the same. In other words 3 forces coming together in a not too orderly fashion. Everything is happening so fast you have no time to go into registry entries and add TDR delay time and Group Policy settings to stop Microsoft driver installations. By the time you start having that black screen and no hardware acceleration it's too late. Many of us have lost our entire operating system hanging at a reboot due to this mess. I have reinstalled win 10 no less than 5 times this past 8 days and even got desperate and allowed Microsoft to install win 10, same results... unusable. There are no drivers from AMD that work now over the past week. They have come out a few days ago and admitted they have a really serious problem now and until they can get together with Microsoft and figure out what is happening, they should dump Microsoft and let us use the boxed driver and upgrade from their site just like the old days. Not have Microsoft involved with anything released other than that first driver to install the system. This has been going on for quite some time now and it even effects NVIDIA drivers al tho not as badly as the AMD drivers. I know they will get it fixed but when is the question remaining. I am waiting another two weeks and if it isn't fixed I am boxing up all the AMD gear I just purchased to get this machine sitting next to me running, back to Newegg and let them deal with it. If I don't get a prompt return of my money I will take it straight to a good lawyer. We're not talking about chump change being lost, we're talking about personal property being damaged and software being damaged in these hosed instances. I have finally come to the realization that getting mad and cussing about it will not help and I do hope AMD gets it right and stops this unnecessary grief. Bad enough dealing with a DOA motherboard while in the process of building this new machine. I've lost so much time and money I have become numb.

You know you could have tried unchecking the ‚factory reset‘ option.

But even then, it‘s not ‚all of us‘.

Really weird that a new member‘s first post is for an article where the last post was made almost three years ago 🤷‍♂️

What's weird about it ? AMD released a statement 5 days ago saying they have a really bad situation with windows updating the drivers while AMD was updating installing at the very same time and is so bad even the system is affected and in a lot of cases ruined. I have 3 RX 580s and I try to find good information to fix my own problems. Your reset sarcasm does not work. There is a win 11 upgrade that is causing serious issues since the last 10 upgrade is 22H2 and win 11 having the same 22H2 along with a lot of code left on the system even if you don't allow an upgrade to 11. Something is broken and AMD is aware of the problem so we'll see what happens. By the way, if the reset really helps in my situation that online install per microsoft did not help either. You have a great day.
