Dual Ultrawide monitor problems

I have a LG 29UM55 and I recently upgraded my second monitor to a LG 29UM57, therefore now I'm trying to use two ultrawides in a dual extended setup. Monitor 1 is running fine at 2560x1080 but the second will only allow 1920x1080, which looks like horrible in comparison! One is connected HDMI the other is HDMI to DP adapter. Best Buy told me it should work fine with my setup by using the adapter and that my computer should handle it fine but it doesn't. Any help on the situation would be appreciated!

-AMD FX-8320 3.5ghz eight-core
-AMD Radeon R9 270X 2GB PCI-E 3.0
-ADATA XPG V3 4GB DDR3 2133 Memory x2

Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same exact problem with the same monitors.
