DVD-RW Not working

Nov 1, 2008
  1. I have a Lite-on Multi recorder DVD burner. I have connected it correctly, but some some reason it is not reading or writing. And when I click on the Icon in my computer it says that "D is not a windows system 32 file." It then says my computer is not responding. I think that is it a OS system error,

    Can someone help me?

Did you install a DVD burning program when you installed the DVD player? If not, I recommend Nero or NTI.

Optical drives are greatly affected by the drivers that control the disk controller the drive is connected to. If you have installed the OEM (original equipment manufacture) drivers for your disk controller then you may wish to "upgrade" the driver to the version that Windows recommends because they usually work best.
