Elizabeth Warren wants to break up Amazon, Facebook and Google

Part of why we elected Trump was the appeal of having someone who knows how to do business and knows how to complete large projects. We need people in public office who can plan correctly and follow plans. Trump is a miserable specimen--four bankruptcies and stiffed workers--but he has gotten things done and that is the kind of experience that we need. Obama's heart may or may not have been in the right place (I doubt it since a former professor of constitutional law ought to care more about it), but the only thing that he ever displayed any real talent at doing was making wonderful speeches.

I'd rather have deaf mute who can get things done.

Elizabeth Warren, as an attorney and professor, became one of the most quoted bankruptcy specialists in the United States. She has invested deep thought into both the causes and solutions of financial failure. Her recent proposed legislation to address rising pharmaceutical costs was a well-considered solution for solving the problem short of imposing price controls. She carefully walks the line between respect for capitalism along with concern for the public welfare.

Her proposed break-up of these tech giants was well considered, and I respect her effort to solve the problems that these tech giants have created and are continuing to create.

I am not saying that there is only one way to solve the particular problems being cited, but I do want people who know how to carefully think about and solve problems to be in our the highest levels of public office where they can be the most effective. (I had been a Bernie supporter, but I wonder if Bernie actually knows how to think about and solve problems in a step-by-step manner).

I think that we need to think about Elizabeth Warren as our next President.
Nice try, but you invalidated your own viewpoint when you referred to Trump as a 'poor specimen' for having four BK's, while ignoring Warren's lifelong lies.

I'll educate you: Trump has had 4-5 BK's out of 400+ businesses he's started or owned. That's a 1% failure rate that any business owner would kill for. Only the NPC left don't understand these facts and keep pushing the lie that Trump is a 'failed' businessman, because most are useless adult neckbeards still relying on mom for their allowance, while beating off to anime posters in their childhood bedrooms...which they still live in.

And the fact that you completely disregard Warren's lies about being Native American and using it to get ahead in her career & politics, while adoringly praising her full-potato plans only contributes to invalidating your viewpoint. Like Bernie, the woman has no real-world business experience, has accomplished nothing of substance, and doesn't understand economics outside of how she can twist it towards socialism and more govt. control.

So, let's break up giant successful businesses to make people "feel" good. Big Government is the largest employer in the U.S. and controls 5 trillion dollars of tax payments by spending 11 trillion a year and we (the people) want them to make a consumer decision for us to help us spend our money better? When is the American people going to wake up and start forcing the FEDS to cut spending and cut the deficit? She is *****ic as all the other politicians that spout similar ideas. Consumers spend money on what they like and prefer which is why Facebook is king and not Myspace.

This has been very entertaining, but as the title of Shakespeare's play says, it's "Much ado about Nothing". Ms. Warren stands virtually no chance of ever being president of the US, period. And as for Bernie Sanders, he might get elected as "king of the snowflakes", and that's about it..

If either one of them get the Democratic nod, you can mostly resign yourselves to four more years of Trump.

As for all this horse ca-ca Ms. Warren is blowing up about breaking up Amazon and the like, she is likely simply beset by post menopausal depression, and needs assurance from the press that she still has value, now that her child bearing years have concluded and she's no longer an Indian princess

As for Sanders, in the political game of pinochle, the lying psychopath Trumps the imploding idealist. (Yeah I know, bad run up to a bad pun).

I get it they are huge, and I'd have trouble saying they aren't a monopoly (especially Google). But stifling innovation?! no way! It's a legit business play nowadays to build something cool just to be bought by one of these companies.

Google didn't build Youtube or Android - they bought them. Facebook has bought even more the biggest being WhatsApp for like $2 BILLION.

I can't believe the possibility of making millions overnight by selling to one of these companies stifles innovation. And it's not like you have to sell... but it must be quite a nice choice to have to make.
