As for dead people getting payments...of the 18.9 million people over 100 only 0.2% actually got payments and they could be legit (ie: still alive) and/or could easily be people grifting the system. However, the likelihood of that being a immigrant vs. a Earl or Midge down at the trailer park is 50/50. However, considering the vast scale and non-centralized nature of State's vs. federal government and the paperwork that's almost an "acceptable" level.

I had never looked at their website until now, and while there is an X feed on the first page when you get to the website, it shows a ton of information about the government. It breaks down budgets by department, employee statistics by department (age, salary, and tenure), words within and counts of regulations by department (apparently the US government has 100M regulations), and finally lists contract and lease cuts. None of this information is coming from Twitter but is listed on that website.

I had bosses like these and such requests were made because them managers had no clue how the department worked and what the people they were supposed to lead are working on.
This is usually a sure sign of a poor manager and usually senior managers unceremoniously debarks such individuals, hopefully before they do any serious damage.
In Musk’s case that is already too late.
In case anyone is wondering, I do believe overgrown bureaucratic states needs reform, not only the US one but Canada’s and EU’s as well, as far as I can tell. However, taking a sledgehammer or a chainsaw to them is an especially dumb way to do it.

Despite the fact that I agreed on some important points such as the idea of DOGE (not the execution), as well as getting rid of corrupt politicians getting rich off the backs of everyone else, it is rather exhausting trying to find a middle ground. Yes, there were funds allocated to FEMA for helping immigrants, but FEMA just can't move money from pot A to pot B. $750 was also not a loan and was only for "immediate get through the next week" relief. People got more.
Congress allocated $640mil for helping migrants and $20bil for disaster relief. That's about 3% of $20bil. It just so happened to be a really bad year for disasters and the budget hadn't been allocated for it beforehand by Congress. So, again, technically you're telling some sort of truth, but it's been spun to mis-represent the actual issue.

Does anyone ever wonder where the money of these savings (real or not; justified or not) is going to? Will the "rightful" civilians (whoever that are) benefit from this in the form of less taxes, better housing, better education, better health services... ? Or will it result in tax cuts and other benefits for the large corporations and their shareholders? Is there a clear plan? I'm not answering. It's just questions to think about.
