[parsehtml]<p><img alt="facebook snapchat-esque ios " src="https://www.techspot.com/images2/news/bigimage/2015/06/2015-06-29-image-12.jpg" /></p> <p>Get ready to take your Facebook photos to a whole new level. The new photo editor, available for most iOS users, lets you layer on text, add filters and go sticker happy on your plain old photos. Android users will have to wait a little while longer for this new addition.</p> <p>If you&#39;re thinking that this sounds like a hit-by-hit remake of Snapchat, then you&#39;re right. Facebook attempted (and <a href="https://www.techspot.com/news/54683-snapchat-turns-down-3-billion-acquisition-offer-from-facebook-report-claims.html">failed</a>) to acquire Snapchat in the past and since has watched it grow. It makes sense that Facebook would continue to try to incorporate what works with Snapchat into their own app, even after other similar attempts (<a href="https://www.techspot.com/news/57150-facebook-launches-snapchat-competitor-slingshot-with-mandatory-reply-to-unlock-feature.html">Slingshot</a> and <a href="http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2457866,00.asp">Poke</a>) have failed.</p> <p class="grey"><img alt="facebook snapchat-esque ios " src="https://www.techspot.com/images2/news/bigimage/2015/06/2015-06-29-image-2.png" style="height: 488px; width: 275px; float: right;" /><img alt="facebook snapchat-esque ios " src="https://www.techspot.com/images2/news/bigimage/2015/06/2015-06-29-image-3.png" style="height: 488px; width: 275px;" /></p> <p>Filters and stickers aren&#39;t entirely new to Facebook, but now they remain in the fresh text option in the new enhancements tray. Press the new icon in the lower left-hand corner of your photo to access the new options.</p> <p>A vertical bar pops up on your photo and you can slide it side-to-side to try different filters. Adding text is similar to Snapchat, except the photo is blurred out while typing and changing the text color, but you can adjust size and position by pinching and dragging. In a statement to <a href="http://techcrunch.com/2015/06/28/facetext/">TechCrunch</a>, Facebook had this to say about the (Snapchat-emulating) new feature:</p> <blockquote> <p>&ldquo;People want to be creative when they share experiences with their friends and family on Facebook. We are rolling out a new place to house all of Facebook&rsquo;s photo-editing tools, making it even easier to add filters, stickers, or text to your photos.&rdquo;</p> </blockquote> <p>Now all that&#39;s left to do is join in on the fun and go wild on your Facebook photos... or will you just stick to Snapchat?</p><p><a rel='alternate' href='https://www.techspot.com/news/61162-facebook-unveils-new-photo-editor-ios-app-lot.html' target='_blank'>Permalink to story.</a></p><p class='permalink'><a rel='alternate' href='https://www.techspot.com/news/61162-facebook-unveils-new-photo-editor-ios-app-lot.html'>https://www.techspot.com/news/61162-facebook-unveils-new-photo-editor-ios-app-lot.html</a></p>[/parsehtml]

Just like SpaceX, they failed to launch it again last December. It's dead, Jim.

Sorry but SpaceX just can't be compared to a shitty Social Media App.
Breakthroughs and advanced are a feat of trial and error. World wasn't made in a day.
