The bulk of Far Cry 5 feels like gonzo camping trip that permeates the rest of the game. Yes, people are being kidnapped, tortured, and brainwashed, but in-between fighting to liberate the residents of Hope County from this b-horror movie plot, I also spent plenty of time skydiving, swimming, hiking, hunting, fishing, and rampaging through cedar forests on 4-wheelers at night like an idiot.

Worst game review ever. Obviously written by a SJW with some agenda other than reviewing the game. Just awful.
Looks like the reviewer really expected a story.... not sure why, as no other Far Cry game ever really delivered one (which he admits in the review)...

This game needs to be reviewed on its mechanics and how much fun it is to play.... which he spends maybe 1-2 paragraphs on....

If you see the letters k-o-t-a-k-u next to a video game review, you can be sure it was written by an SJW. Stopped reading after the first paragraph and immediately returned to proper reviews (see: Steam user reviews and YouTube reviewers).

This is one of a half-dozen reviews I've read so far where the reviewer is caught up in some sort of social agenda commentary because of the background story of the GAME.

It's a GAME. We have social agenda's crammed down our throats 24/7 by a thousand different media outlets - I'm not reading these reviews to get more of that.

All I want to know is if it's a success as a new Far Cry GAME.

Well there is no doubt there is a strong political opinion that Ubi is pushing here but it does look like a beautiful game. I expect more of the same mechanics and graphical eye candy as previous Far Cry games. Unfortunately not only because of the political crap, but because Ubisoft's DRM and UbiPlay software SUCK SO TERRIBLY that I cannot play several games I purchased from them I am no longer guying Ubi games. I will now pirate the game. Which is sad, because I'm sure the development team worked very hard and did a great job.

Not the first time a publisher screwed the consumer and the developer/producer... won't be the last.

I'm not buying it for one simple reason: same game, different skin.

For the SJW, everything is political.

I enjoyed the review. I guess it depends on your political persuasion...
Seems like this crowd needs a lighten up pill. WTF? If it had been "city folk" campaigning against guns that were cast in the role of the crazies, I bet most of the commenters would have bought the game by now and be yelling "great game, great review". LOL
