Sounds like he's just laid down the perfect challenge. The world is full of people who will fix that mess of a codebase just for the love of doing it. And also the love of rubbing peoples' noses in it when they make colossal douches of themselves in public, a crown Randy appears to be trying to take from Musk lately.

Could we have a "Tim Sweeney entered the chat" throwdown please? "Randy, gimme a call, we can help you before your publisher fires you"

The funny thing is Borderlands 2 is still in my backlog (I enjoyed 1 back in the day).

So there’s a long time to fix (and discount) this before I get around to caring.

Why do people preorder again?

This franchise already rott. Up to the 2nd game it was cool, after that, then movie, then 4, is just full of BS. Remember when Gearbox did cool stuff? That's past... those were the times...

Ive played for about 10 hours, ive not had any issues. It runs fine and im running 100+ fps on my 4080.

I tend to not have issues with games that everyone else does for some reason. I often think folks just complain but there are a lot of reports so I assume there are some issues.

Regardless, his comments are absolutely stupid. The game doesnt look beautiful, it looks like the last 3 so why are there issues, really?

You running framegen and upscaler? Only way you can have 100fps and the reason why it's not looking good is because of that. So I don't see the point in using UE5 if it makes games run so slow that you need to use tech like framegen & upscaler to make the game look worse than borderlands 3 released in 2019.

So technically you have issues with the game.

how bout u stop "fixing" what isn't broken lol. there's no requirement to upgrade your engine with your cell shaded anime comic level graphics my guy.

And it's not like the BL team even coded the UE5 engine, either. So Randy's just taking the piss.

The system requirements, as listed, for many games, are often complete bs. The minimum requirements are more like what is just enough for the game to run at all and the recommnded requirements are more like recommended minimum. In other words, can run it and can probably run it well enough to actually play it.
