GeForce GT 220 1GB or Radeon HD 4670 1GB

I would recomend to buy any other in the same price range like:

Maybe one day you would like to play Biosho 1 or Half life 1, WoW, Etc.. these one would play those games,
Your first link is dead. (?)

The GT-240 I linked is only $40.00 after rebate> EVGA honors their rebates. I speak from personal experience.

I'd take my HD4670 over a GT220... But then I'm biased as I use one now. :haha:

That´s true... but GT-240 when he can get GTS-430 with the same price and the same rebates..?
Well, no he can't get the same price on the GT-430 as he can on the GT-240.

The GT-240 is $79.95 with a $40.00 MIR plus $5.99 shipping, which nets down to $45.98 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130533&cm_re=GT-240-_-14-130-533-_-Product

Your linked GT-430 is $69.95 with a $10.00 MIR plus $4.99 shipping, which nets down to $64.94 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130579&cm_re=GTS_430-_-14-130-579-_-Product

The GT-240 carries GDDR-5, and has a memory bandwidth of 52+ GBs

The GT-430 carries GDDR-3 and has a memory bandwidth of about 25 GBs

(Both specs from EVGA's pages on these 2 cards).

So, with all the new bells and whistles aside, the GT-240 should game better because of the higher throughput available.

3rd grade math or Level 90 geekness, dude dont take it personal I just gave my opinion.. and will still be like that, I prefer go for better tecnology for... how much... 20 buck!?..

cheers!

dude dont take it personal

He's not, just look at his name and you'll understand :stickout: .

Either way he has a point, the 430 is a bit underwhelming and if you are going to wander into the higher territory price wise I'd say just start looking at cheap 5670's.

Regarding the topic's question between the 220 & 4670, the 4670 is better and as an owner of one I am pleased with its gaming performance at 1280x1024.
