M$ doesnt support xp 64 for the zune. I had a 8gb version previously and had to change alter the vista 64 version to get it to work for xp 64.

Now I need to install this software once again on my new 120gb version of the zune.. I tried doing this process over again. I had to remove any old version of the zune software from my hard drive to do this. Zune isnt on my add/remove list. And trying to install the software w/o doing this process wont over ride the old zune software.

Is there any way of deleting the files w/o having to reformat my hard drive?

If you want to rid the hard drive of the software, then you could try
1a. Start > Search > Zune
1b. Delete every file that was installed by Zune on the search page

or/and

2a. Start > Run > regedit
2b. Look for Zune in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE
and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software
