Good PC yet steam games running at 10FPS

Is this a laptop or a desktop? Have you tried to update the video drivers to see if that makes a difference? What else do you have that is running while you try to play games? You need to give some more information like: what games are getting low FPS and your PC information (make and model - or is it custom built)? We should be able to help you, just need more to troubleshoot.

Without information nobody can help you, check the temperatures of processor and graphics card, overheating can cause this problem. When did that start to happen? Did you try to fix it already, if yes, what did you do? Did you try clean Windows install, check for viruses and so on...

Not yet guys. You have to ask him for more details (Nobina was getting there) before providing solutions. Make sure you include the exact model number of your GPU (ex: 7970, 7950, etc) and CPU (ex: i5 2500K, i5 3570K, etc). Also, what drivers are you running?
