Hackers target government website in protest, release user accounts

I find it amusing that there seems to be more outrage at the hackers than there was against the event they were reacting against. Its kinda like when wikileaks got all that flack for releasing names/dates bout a year ago. No one pointed out that there was more outrage at wikileaks for telling you about the event than the people who caused the event ever got. Don't shoot the reaction unless you're willing to shoot the cause as well.

ps. I think the janitor will be fine

Spamming the Janitor makes it less likely that any serious messages from people within the building will be read and responded to, thus delaying any necessary maintenance and creating a more difficult workplace for the other employees.
Meanwhile the Janitor will probably just stick to his normal rounds.

People, why all the hate towards Anon? Did any of you even bother looking up what the original protest was about? I hope so. If not, take 5 seconds and google it. Right now. What that BART officer did was unbelievably atrocious; of course people were going to protest! Protesters wanted to organize to express their outrage at the murder that was committed by a BART officer, in broad daylight, even caught on film! Oh, did you forget that there was a point to this protest? Did you forget that an innocent man was shot in the back while lying unarmed on the ground? Anon didn't forget. The reason for the hacking attack wasn't to just attack other innocent people like the janitor that everyone here keeps crying about. Hacking their website wasn't about getting innocent people's information, it was about getting the message out that the people at BART support the bastard that killed an innocent man, and that they are not okay with it. When BART made the decision to black out the cell phone towers to prevent a rightful protest, Anon stepped up and fought technology with technology. Because of these guys, more people are going to demand justice for the wrongful killing of Oscar Grant. Anyone who thinks Anon is just a bunch of childish computer geeks can go phuck themselves.

Anon is a bunch of non-hacking retards. They target low hanging fruit and for some reason keep getting attention. Once enough of the b tards go to jail they will stop. History keeps repeating itself with these wanna be hacker groups.

I really don't see the hubbub. I mean, I guess it kind of sucks to be that janitor, but posting his thing was just some kind of show of how deep they got it. It's like "All that and the kitchen sink." And other than a few annoying emails, the Janitor and similar completely innocent bystanders will probably make it out okay.

My question is, are these people so inept that they are unable to protest without a cell phone?
Wow. I bet they'll shrivel up and die before they make it to the 'big house', probably within hours of having their psp's/iphones/whatever electronics confiscated. Poor Jethro and Bubba ain't gonna get to pack no fudge!
