HD video picture on PC not as good as on Xbox 360

I have the Samsung Touch Of Color T220HD 22-inch LCD HDTV Monitor. I use this HDTV monitor for gaming, watching TV, and also for using my computer. I have the TV/monitor connected to my Xbox 360 (through a HDMI cable) and, also, my PC (through a DVI-D cable). When I play HD video in my Xbox 360 the picture look great; however, when I play HD video on my PC the picture doesn't seem to be the same. Shouldn't the video picture be the same, since both the computer and Xbox are connected to the same HDTV monitor? Or am I doing something wrong?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

you have an older pc and with age come degrade of quality of picture your video card will put out . you can try to upgrade your video cards drivers to see if it still has some more life in it. but if that doesnt improve the video quality then it might be time for a new video card or a whole new pc
