I NEED HELP! Heres the problem: My ATI Radeon 9800 Pro worked fine and dandy until one day i took all the cards out of its slots and put it back in (because i was putting the Zalman VF700-CU Fan/Heatsink + VGA Ram Heatsink) and then, CHAOS (screen blanks after XP loads)! After reformating/reinstalling comp...
My card starts Windows XP and runs fine (in VGA Save mode).. well, it runs fine before I install the drivers for it and when I do install the drivers, the screen goes blank after XP loads. The only way back is to System Restore through safe mode and uninstall the drivers to let it run under VGA Save mode. I am forced to live with WinXP SP1 because SP2 installs ATI Drivers and then same thing, my screen will go blank. I have read that numerous other ppl have experienced this problem, but I have yet to read a solution about it. One more thing to note, my monitor says Signal Failed when I have the power cord plugged into the card, hence, it wont run with the power going through the card.. but will run without it. Boy, im in for a mess..I shoulda just stuck to GF cards. Should I just get a new video card? Here's the details
