Help with my Sony Vaio Laptop

First off i know you will need more detailed info. However i will list my problem and you can tell me what info you need. My laptop freezes at startup. I can boot in safe mode with networking and the laptop runs fine. But other then that it doesnt do much of anything. I originally thought it might have been low memory (512mb standard) so i maxed it out a 2gb. It was fine and now not soo much. Please let me know if you can help me. When it freezes i cant do ANYTHING. Not even task manager.

Since when have you been using the laptop? When exactly at startup does it freeze?

What are your system specs?

Best to start with system specification by telling us your Vaio's model number.

sony vaio pcg-7d2l is a example. You should be able to see it near your keyboard, or bottom of laptop.

That will gives us the idea of what exact problems you are having.

- Model number of Sony Vaio laptop
- Ram - you answered as 2GB.
- OS - Look like you are using XP, am I correct?
