How do I turn off power saving mode

So I have a msi laptop and its screen is broken. I have a spare monitor which can be plugged in to it through hdmi. so I have used it with that monitor since. Keep in mind that the monitor will always be power saving mode throu the boot up process on windows and will work once im in the "please wait" screen. Yesterday I needed to reinstall windows. But when the computer restarted to install. The monitor is on power saving mode. even after it completes the installing process it will be on powe saving mode (I knew it completed because the black screen from my broken screen turned blue indicating that it completed) so can someone tell me how to make the monitor work throu booting and not be on power saving mode
