Hi, I just purchased a crucial mx300 ssd for my Asus k70IC laptop and have successfully cloned and installed it. I also set up my BIOS so AHCI mode is activated. My laptop has the following installed on it:
4.0 Gb of RAM
Original Storage: Serial ATA support OEM Hard drive: Seagate Momentus 7200.4 ST9320423AS 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive
New Storage: Crucial Mx300 2.5in 525GB SSD
Chipset: nVidia MCP79D
Display Adaptor: NVIDIA GeForce GT 220M
IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers: NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller
What is the best driver out there that can take advantage of AHCI mode for a nVidia MCP79D chipset?
Is it a Standard AHCI 1.0 Serial ATA Controller?
Any help on this would be much appreciated?
