Hi guys!

I just bought an HP Pavilion dv6830us Notebook PC with Windows Vista SP1 and I would like to downgrade to XP. At first I was having some trouble trying to install XP on this laptop because of the SATA Drive, I finally got it installed.

My only problem is the wireless driver. I installed all the XP drivers that I found in more than 10 websites and my PC seems to be working ok but I can't get the wireless to work, I tried more than 3 different wireless drivers and none of them work. The wireless button is ON so this can't be the problem.

Here are a list of website where I got the drivers from (including the wireless drivers that didn't work):

Something interesting that I noticed... when I open Device Manager in my laptop I see a question mark for Network Controller and Modem Device on High Definition Audio Bus.

Under "Network adapters" I see the following:

1394 Net adapter (I think this is the wireless card that is integrated with my laptop).

Realtek (this is the hardware for the ethernet cable).

I don't see any question mark for 1394 Net adapter and Realtek.

Can somebody please help me with this?

Right click on 'My Network Places' and select properties. Is your wireless connection enable or disable?
