This is an old thread, but I just wanted to say that I have a cooling PSU and after 2 years it just started turning itself off whenever it was in the mood to quit working, lol.

It's a AP-450DX and I would not recommend it to anyone, although I have to say I leave the computer on 24/7 most of the time and so it has worked for a lot of hours without a problem. But if it has a 5 year warranty I would like it work at least that long, don't PSU makers know that a lot of PC's are not shut down frequently?
