Intel splits its struggling foundry division into an independent subsidiary

Sometime in 2025 I said. Same did Intel. We are in 2024.

Clearwater Forest is going to be 18A.

Yeah I am an Intel fanboy, with 6 AMD chips and 2 Intel chips in house. Haha.
Intel said they were "set to begin manufacturing 18A in the latter half of 2024".
The latest from Intel (september) is, I'll quote, "we remain on track for launch in 2025".

Then there's reality:

10% yield is absolutely abysmal, that's not something they'll suddenly fix in the next 6 months. That makes it impossible for the semiconductor to reach mass-production stages.

Again, if you believe everything Intel has said, 18A is already here and AMD is in the rear-view mirror, Reality is very different.
