Is this laptop worth £300?

So I've found a laptop for £300 with the following specifications: Intel Core i3-2350M 2.3GHz, 500HDD, 4GB RAM, 15.6inch screen, Intel HD Graphics 3000, 7hours 30mins battery life, Windows 7 (thankfully), 1 year guarantee and Microsoft Office 2010 Starter pack. I was wondering if this is a good deal since a lot of my friends have mixed feelings. Thanks.

That is a pretty bad deal. You can easily get a laptop with a newer CPU and graphics for less than 500 USD (300 euros). I am looking at laptops here in the US, but it is most likely the same in the UK.
