I was reading this article with interest thinking 'should I try it' when I came across the paragraph that mentioned the word "purchase". I immediately lost all interest. I'll stick with Whatsapp & Viber.

WhatsApp is moving to a subscription model. LINE is free UNLESS you decide to buy special emoticons. The normal set is fine for most usage but if you want some rather exotic ones, then you will need to pay. Otherwise it's still free.
