This is dumb. Even IF it were true that Kaspersky is a Russian spy tool, I'm certain the FSB wants 'targeted' data, not miscellaneous data on millions of random Joe Schmoes. Do people think Kaspersky is the NSA or Google lol. Also, no Russian spy program would ever be so openly Russian to begin with... unless that's what they WANT you to think! No seriously calm the f**k down people.

If by ‚negotiate‘ you mean ‚give him everything he wants without expecting him to keep his word‘… sure. That sounds just like that guy with the special mustache in that respect.
Now, I‘m definitely not comparing the two as they aren‘t the same. But both had / have their plans and goals that they will try to push through unless there is strong pushback.
Looking at the pieces individually, many of them actually seem reasonable or at least understandable (in the beginning) but it‘s the end goal that needs to be kept in mind and this is not at all reasonable or acceptable.

regarding kaspersky: the same threat can happen from all other remote execution tools / security solutions. they are only a victim of their totalitarian, war mongering government which, by the way, sh*ts on its own people's well-being.

Well, this is disturbing. I've never used Kapersky and now I'm glad. These days though, Windows Defender is good enough. I never even bothered installing Avast on my craptop.

Finding out at least one govt. agency in the (*****) country you are from are using it would be even more disturbing (talking about mine here).
Stopped installing AV on my personal PC a while ago. Windows Defender is fine and third party AV were often more trouble than they were worth.

As someone doing crop AV work, I can easily state consumer AV is ''ok'', but more often you are the actual product and security is a secondary by product.
If you can get MS EDR on your device for free it is excellent, Symantec EDP, CrowdStrike and Sentinelone is also really good since they are corp based AV.
But most consumer AV is more marketing your data and habits. And as always .. if it is free .. you are the sole product.
You lost your money the second you bought that junkware so do not blame someone else for doing their job properly.
They will care soon. Because now EU will transition faster to renewables and will stop buying their fossils. This will be game over for them. They are north and have not much sun so they will now have to buy energy. And they are not very rich if you exclude the fossils...

Yeah, I think the fact that the US has upwards of 150,000 troops stationed on the border of Mexico, ready to invade, simply because we want to add it to our "Empire", is emblematic of our "craziness" and "aggressiveness".
We know we can't win a ground war, so we sit in Texas, and lob cruise missiles into our southern neighbor, simply for the sheer pleasure of turning their infrastructure into dust.

If you really disapprove of the "special military operation", you should march yourself out in front of the Kremlin and say so..
BTW, how much oil revenue do you think Russia can milk out of a place like Bangladesh? Enough to buy Putin a new super yacht?
