Keyboard Issue

My friend has a brand new Toshiba Satellite laptop. None of the symbols appear correctly when depressing the shift key? She cannot even get a @ as this symbol comes up " when pressed using the shift key. Help please.

Confirm language and keyboard settings in Regional settings in Control Panel are correct to your country

Or test with another Keyboard to confirm it is not a keyboard fault

You may need to confirm that your Bios revision is also correct, by going to your Toshiba support web page

If you suspect hardware fault please return under warranty
