Michigan couple say Pokémon Go turned neighborhood into a "nightmare," sues Niantic, Nintendo

Following 20 years of complaining that "kids just sit on their arses all day playing goddamn violent video games!", children everywhere have finally left their couches.

Adult response: "stop going outside you disrespectful, ignorant little whelps!"

Some people, young and old alike, will always be dicks. It's a game, with positives and negatives for all involved. Bear in mind that this is just a first-of-its-kind (or at least, by far the most popular), so this is something people will have to get used to from both sides.

Playing games was the complaint, not sitting around on the couch inside all day. If they were doing something constructive, no one would have cared if they were inside or outside all day.

Think how much cleaner the planet would be, if only they had made the game so that Pokemon Points came from recycling.
Then they'd just dump their trash on the ground so they'd have more litter to pick up. Of course, they wouldn't pick up the really gross trash. That would get left behind. Some would play it fair, but enough would cheat to leave more litter than before to make it a losing proposition.

even in ****-hole Tennessee. Some people give america a bad name, and are truly un-american. You are one of those people.
While I agree with the rest of your post, if you'd ever visited Tennessee you'd know there is nothing "****-hole" about it. Some people that fit that term, sure; but no more than anywhere and everywhere else.

How is it that pokemon go is the nuisance when it's been other people who did the stuff to these people playing the game?
People are venturing onto properties where they don't belong and when asked to leave they act as though they have a right to be there. There needs to be limits in that the places have to be sponsored by willing participants. It can't be a free-for-all.

WOW you sound angry and bitter with life. If we sue Niantic over this then we should outlaw all smoking in public and sue the tabacco growers - cigarette manufacturers for the same nuisances. The many butts on the ground, the cloud of smoke I have to sometime walk through, the doorway loitering in the winter. Man those smokers can interfere with my ability to enter and exit a building and do business. Come on! Do you realize how silly you sound. Every group of people will have a handful of rude ignorant people. You can't hold Niantic or the rest of the people playing the game with respect and reason, responsible for the those few. Oh, and I am positive that some people would say your hobbies amount to a waste of time and energy. To each his own!

I will say that I think the game was a great idea, but I also think it was poorly implemented. Maybe it became more popular than they thought it would ever be. If they give credence to what the critics are saying and make appropriate adjustments then maybe everybody will be content with no more issues. No matter where a Pokemon icon appears, the environment trumps the game. Or should I say common sense.

Wow, just wow! That's a nice one right there. In order to keep people off your property, you are now expected to sign in and opt-out of every game designed to be played on a global landscape. So now whether or not you even play the game, you still have to be bothered by it.

I have a better idea. How about leaving people alone unless they actually want to play the game. However if earlier comments are accurate, that is the way it's supposed to function.

It was simply a suggestion. A suggestion that gives people an option beyond the way it's "supposed" to work. I already stated it shouldn't be doing this anyways, but why would people be traveling onto other's property if that were true??? Alas, my suggestion, of which, was just an example to begin with. It would be nice if companies were considerate enough for your "better" idea but I don't see that happening unless law starts going after the companies instead of the people following their phones. I'm not defending the people who follow their phones either. It is what it is.

A bit late but is it ever too late for Ron Burgandy?

This is so funny at how a company can legally put a game out at the expense of everyone. Including those who never intend on playing. I can see rules coming to help regulate games like this, if it doesn't fade away.

I don't play the game but I am curious what made up 'bs' expenses have you and others incurred???

Yes I can understand a minority without a brain cell are probably maybe going where they shouldn't at all hours of the day, but I am pretty sure the majority have an iq higher than 10 (unlike some of the posters in the thread) and will respect their surrounds and other people.

The way I see it this is no different from the sticker albums, people used to collect as kids, but a hell of a lot less waste!!! It's just a lot more modern way with no waste and its just the old farts and fuddy duddys of yesteryear that have something new to complain about.

I remember Simpsons stickers, wrestle mania 7 albums Garbage pail kids, streets and playgrounds would be littered with sticker wrappers as kids eagerly ripped open the packets that they had saved up their pocket money to buy, flinging the wrapper to the floor, maybe chew on some cheap bubble gum before spitting it out onto the pavement (sidewalk for you state side visitors :D).
Now people are sat on their mobile device, minding their own business, WALKING around OUTSIDE, PLAYING A GAME and people/killjoys are moaning that they all should be locked up and kept inside, how day they have fun! They stand on their doorstep waving their walking stick at the youths "BAH HUMBUG" you cry out as you retire to you living room, open you pack of 20 cigs revealing a baseball card "yes" you cry I have been wanting that one, as your hand shakes you gently take out the card placing it in your home made album nestled neatly amoungst the other cards you have been collecting over the last 3 years!

OMG PPL GET A LIFE, stop whining about trivia things, put your energy into making things in the world right and not just jumping on the bandwagon with your fellow ignorant narrow minded peers!

put your energy into making things in the world right
Congratulations! You are officially asking other to do something that you are not. A big long spill about how we should support our ***** neighbors. It's kind of hard to make things right when you hold that stance.

It's people having fun playing a game, a game that doesn't affect many in any way shape or form yet the masses want to make something out of nothing. Get over yourself and go back to whining about something else, maybe something with importance to the world.

So is partying and polluting the countryside rivers and seas! What's your point! Mindlessly walking around with your nose stuck in a screen doesn't help cover the negligence. The release of such games only make things worse.

My point, that your minuscule IQ is failing to comprehend, is that they are not doing any damage you complete retard! They are playing a bloody game, a GAME get it into your thick skull!
