Microsoft is building a disc-free Xbox to launch next year

The cost of the disc drive is next to nothing for them. I think this is more for the push for digital games. They would love to do away with the used game market. Not that any of this will matter as they want to depopulate the planet soon, just as Jesus warned.

A UHD blu ray disc drive is next to nothing in cost? As for the rest, have faith in your president and the military complex behind him.

These comments remind me of those who argued the advantages of Blockbuster, all those dusty VHS tapes and later DVDs would never go away, not to mention all those old vinyl albums and cassette tapes and CDs. All now replaced by streaming services Netflix, Spotify. "Resistance is futile". Downloads, streaming is the new normal. Oh, and just wait for 5G to be fully deployed in five years.

Let's say you bought a $800 PC. You buy two $60 games a year for it. When you bought it, they ran at over 30 FPS with most of the eye candy, but 5 years later you need to tweak them quite a bit to get a reasonable frame rate. You spent $600 on games, $800 more on a PC, for a total of $1400. Would you still buy a PC?
In haven't paid $60 for a PC game since I built mine..the mere mentioning of 30fps on PC just tells me you don't own a gaming PC lol. Sorry for your console.
