Microsoft revives aggressive Windows 11 upgrade campaign with intrusive popups for Windows...

Mmm. All these positive posts about W11 are making me think I'll install yet again. It will be the third time. 3rd time lucky?
LimyG, I am so happy I helped someone with this Windows 10 madness, if your system supports SecureBoot+TPM 2.0, hop on it!! Heck even Linux Mint and Ubuntu now support installation with SB+TPM2.0 enabled in BIOS!

P.s. Win11 will not reset every single system setting every update like Win10 does, so much time spared!

What issues did you run into?
Well, the second (last try) time was over a year ago so I guess from many posts here it's improved.
So, generally. The first thing I didn't like was the way the right click menu has been dumbed down. Don't remember the details well, but felt like it was more troublesome to do various things. (I am a major right clicker!).

Next, I just "felt," rightly or wrongly that I didn't have full control (I guess the same could be said of W10 - but it is easier to tweak stuff MS doesn't want us to tweak.)

Some to the menu's were actually very good and seemed functional.

Damn, I have crud memory and my post sounds like I had no reason at all not to adopt it.
(Except the first try soon after launch - that was bad including crashes).

Your question, is making myself ask the same thing.

Oh, I just remembered ONE thing for sure. I have a local account on Windows 10, fairly uncommon these days.

I believe it is impossible on W11?

Guess I will end up trying again, but not until W10 support updates end. The reason?
I'm lazy.

Dam, thanks for that, in a way. I fully believe you of course it's not that - it's just that your post along with a few other good people here, are starting to make me think I am running an obselete OS - W10.

Quick generalized question: Games have always worked well for me on W10 - meaning it leaves me and my NV CP tweaking to it.

How does gaming compare - any extra overhead? If not, then yet another reason for me to update.

I do have TPM 2.0 built into the motherboard btw.
