Microsoft says it's time to kill off the password

Hi We have Widows 10 haters and we have W10 lovers. That's what life is all about. I can guarantee you that we will never see a time when we all agree 100% on any thing. That ain't going to happen my friends. IMHO that's a good thing!:D
TS allows this and that's a good thing. Thanks TS!

So now you're purporting to have divined the meaning of life from this topic?

Mull this over, Intel, (and I believe AMD as well), has flatly stated their new processors, would only be fully compatible with Windows 10. I'd be willing to bet there was a huge plume of cigar smoke that came out of the back room where those good 'ol boys had that "Monopoly Preservation Society" meeting... Go Techspot!

Thanks staff! You are appreciated.(y)I came here to learn new things and pass them forward, not to belittle other members or cut them down. I will unsubscribe from this topic!:D

That commercial sums it up 100%. You actually think people are like this? Yes Virginia there are airheads like that in the world. First they ate the poison apple after they seen Adam's snake and it has been screwed up ever since.

What is someone hacks the bio-metric data? Is this data safe from being accessed or transferred by services like Microsoft's telemetry data? Or any number of other things Windows 10 does is the background without notifying the users. Or if hackers were to find some secure backdoor built into the OS or even hardware. There is no 1 solution to security. Educating users is your best chance to make a difference, should be something worked in school curriculum from a young age by default these days. Or we could keep slapping on band-aids.

I've been using Fingerprint tech on my cell phones since 2016. It's not 100% perfect but nothing in life is! LOL I guess Windows 10 Pin not being taken so well over the long password. Fingerprint on my cell phone to access the bank, ADP an etc works out best for me. I try to keep things easy to remember but oh boy way to many passwords to remember in one brain today. The finger print won't work if you cut your finger and have a bandage it, or have picked your or washed your finger. When the sensor works you lucky and if it doesn't you need to type in that dreaded long password or pin out again.

PS Facial instead won't work because we all get older.. I think they need to come up with voice print instead of something else.

What if you get a cold and lose your voice like happened to me this week? Also if your a teenager; which I'm not, your voice may change.
