hi all
I've got a question
i have a laptop with xp home
it was in bad shape
loaded Norton Internet security and removed Trojan, and malware, also ran malware bytes to be sure

its all good now except once windows detected malware Spyware ISpynow
before i fixed it , now it wont leave me alone
windows wants me to turn on firewall and enable protection
Norton is all enabled and reads secure

the other programs don't see any Spyware ISpynow
why does it keep popping up
how do i stop it i cant seem to figure this one out

I've also ran tuneup utilities 2008 to tweak it up a little.

FYI: there is a guy on ebay selling 2 year multi user licence for the tuneup utilities 2008 ver
for 5.00$
you download the trial then put in the code and shazam
supposed to support up to 7 computers

hope you guys had a happy turkey day

More likely supports a big emptying of your bank account. Beware. MOST of these things are scams, especially those demanding money up-front.

Is it safe to assume that this "looks like" it came from Microsoft? Because it didn't. It's an unethical use of the Messenger Sercice which is suppose to be used by the Administrator of the network to communicate with the other computers on the network.
The scammers learned a long time ago that by 'spoofing' the color and format, user would think MS sent it and act on it.

Turn off the Messenger Service:
Start> Run> services.msc> right click on Messenger> Properties> change Startup type to Disabled> Stop the Service.

Full Name: iSpyNOW Websearch
Type: Commercial Monitoring Software

thank you
i tried this and it is disabled
im not sure that ISpynow was not intentionally put on this computer
i looked up ISpynow and they want me to purchase spyhunter 3
sounds fishy

another interesting thing is when i click on Internet explorer to go to my home page
i get a screen that says
insecure Internet activity threat of virus attack

two icons the windows shield
one green:click here to get real time full advanced protection and continue browsing

one red:continue to the website unprotected (not recommended)
its like the system doesn't recognize that i have installed full Internet security

windows firewall is of live updates are on
i don't get it?

Please follow the link in Post #4 to run the malware cleaning programs, then attach the logs.
