Missing space on USB flash drive

The drive has a 7.45 GB capacity and says it has 1.80 GB free. When I select all the folders in it there total size is 51.5 MB on disk (yes I remembered to show hidden files). I use to get the error that the disk is not working correctly and I clicked "fix and scan for bad sectors" and it did so and came back with no errors. It use to be used for ReadyBoost but I disabled that and I can't figure where all the space went

I'm not sure exactly what "Fix and scan for bad sectors" would do to a USB Flash drive since it's my understanding that it's a tool for mechanical hard disks only. If you haven't already I'd backup your data off of the USB flash drive and attempt a format of the memory.

Thanks that fixed it. I noticed the TV and Play Station 3 works only when the flash drive is formatted with FAT32. Is this expected?
