For the past three days, whenever I shutdown my comp for the night and then turn it on in the morning for the first use, the motherboard beeps constantly and gives me an error of C1, in which the EVGA 780i Motherboard manual states memory presence. To get everything to boot up i have to physically reseat the ram everytime i turn off the comp from a shutdown. I was wondering if this could be a bad/dead cmos battery? The computer is around 3 years old so I figured it could be the cmos battery. If anyone has advice, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks.

It doesn't sound like a CMOS battery problem to me. The memory problem is likely a RAM problem. If you have more than one RAM module, try starting the PC with only one installed at a time to isolate a bad one. Refer to your manual as to which RAM slot (DIMM) you should use with a single module. It is typically the first one closest to the CPU.
