More than 85,000 Battlefield 2042 players sign petition demanding a full refund

I don't understand preordering digital games. It was one thing when you could only get physical copies, but you put $5 down to reserve a copy. You didn't pay full price to reserve a digital copies, of which there are an infinite amount.

I'm not defending EA here, but modern consumerism lead to this being a viable business model. But wait a freaking day or two. I remember preordering games and still had to wait a few days before I had the time to go pick it up at the store

The only people that pre-order are the ones that MUST have the special edition of a game that includes skins and other nonsense, or the people that HAVE to be able to play the game 3 days before everyone gets to play it on normal launch day because they want that 3 days of play and leveling before anyone else to get a jumpstart.

It's a mindset that the majority of gamers need to get out of. Unfortunately, these companies know they can sell things early and make the all might dollar before release and not really care whether it's a good release or not.

They deserve to be ripped off, if they cant learn by now to not buy things before seeing if its worth their money then let them burn it.

I'm tired of new rules being made that protect stupid people from themselves, if it werent for this massive group of cash wasters we'd probably be getting glorious fully featured games, instead of this garbage we have now.
I agree people should learn by now, the problem is, they will never learn. If we don't protect people from themselves this is only going to continue and we will keep getting worse products because there's no incentive to make good ones.

Not everyone who bought the game pre-ordered it. In fact, I bought it for $60 after a 10hr trial through Xbox Game Pass. During that time it wasn't "SO" broken that you wouldn't think some of the bugs wouldn't be fixed. The issue I have is that the bugs aren't being fixed, and the game has actually gotten MORE unstable after additional updates. It is one thing for a broken game to release and then be patched to stability, but it is another thing entirely for a broken game to be released, not patched, and then made worse. This is why people like me want the refund.

I started boycotting EA after the Simcity reboot. The fact that they lied about the game having to be always on-line was the straw on this camel's back. From the day Tripp left, the company started becoming less about games and more about profits. I finally reached my limit with the reboot.

I'm not saying I haven't been tricked a couple of times. Buddy convinced me to get Anthem stating "EA knows they've been screwing up, so expect this one to be a home run". Yeah famous last words. I'm totally agreeing with the people saying buyer beware. Want EA to change? Don't just stop pre-ordering, boycott them. As long as they keep making money off of suckers they won't stop churning out the crap.

Wow, that matured like a dead carcass. I (luckily) had played Destiny a lot and didn't see the game loop being any good in the trailers. I knew a few people who were convinced purely because it was Bioware and said the same thing "they can't mess this up".

Speaking of Anthem, are they still trying to update it into something good or has it been abandoned?

No idea, haven't played it in a Coon's age.

This won't go anywhere but I gotta say, if I could refund BF2042, I absolutely would. If Star Citizen is a scam, this was daylight robbery.
How can star citizen be a scam ? I sold some ships on the grey market and doubled my money. if thats what you call a scam I want more pls.
