Mouse cursor freezing

  1. Hi there,

My mouse cursor freezes once every ~30s for about 1~2s. It doesn't happen all the time, but I suspect it might happen because of the usage of postgreSQL, as I've seen 2 other people with the same problem who also used it.

I have tested another mouse, the problem persists. I've tried updating mouse/USB drivers as well, nothing helped.

My trackpad, however, doesn't stop working at any time.

    Any ideas?

Interesting how when you tested another mouse the issue persisted, but it works with the trackpad. Are both mice you tried (non-trackpad) wired or wireless?

Both are wired and good mice. One is from Logitech, the other is from Razer.

The mouse, sometimes, shuts down! The red light simply turns off. I have to unplug and plug it again for it to come back to life.

I would try another USB port. If both are shutting down randomly, it is most like an issue with the USB port since it may not be outputting enough power to the mice.

Yep, have tried it as well. It shuts down randomly. I've tested on the 3 USB ports my laptop has.
