My computer temporarily freezes / Slow Computer

I had to reinstall Windows on my HP laptop and I'm starting to have problems. My computer will every once in a while will freeze for a few seconds when I click on something. I've been trying to figure out why and the main thing I've noticed is that whenever it happens, my hard disk usage spikes up to 100%. It was not doing this before I reinstalled Windows. My laptop originally came with Windows 8.1 so I had to use the recovery drive and go from windows 8.1 and then 10. I'm not sure what the problem is but I would appreciate the help.

Review EVENTVWR.MSC for errors - - I would guess you are experiencing ERRORS and creating DMP images

Command prompt and enter
  • eventvwr.msc
look in the System Logs and scroll to find ERROR events

Thank You. I attached a Text file of the log. There were errors.

tell you your DNS is not responding OR has been blocked for some reason and w/o DNS, you can't access websites

get a command prompt and enter
  • ipconfig /all >myTcp.txt
open the file myTcp.txt, copy it all and paste as a reply to this topic

I disabled it but I'm still getting the temporary freezes and my hard drive is still spiking to 100% usage at times.

Bump. I'm still having a problem with the temporary freezes and would appreciate anyone's help.

Some little things I would suggest would be to use compressed air on your system or upgrade your RAM.
