My PC won't keep power for more than 30 secs

Hi there,

any help would be appreciated.

I am putting together a desktop pc, i have tried to power this up and power only lasts for about 30 secs and then goes off, the power led on the case remains on but all other power is lost. Any ideas where the fault may lie?

I am unsure of speed and type of proesser.

MB is ASrock k7vm2
ram 2gb

i have no vga output either so can not tell if i even have bios working.

cheers

what do you mean you don't have any video output, the motherboard should come with either a HTMI or VGA output

Hello

I had the same problem when I built my own pc. If I remember correctly I would double check your input for your power on, reset and such from the case to your motherboard. Depending on your motherboard it may be very well labeled or not at all. In the case of the ladder look up your motherboard via internet and it will be in the instruction guide on PDG or it may have came with your board.

Make sure the polarities are correct as well. - and +, I think mine were reversed.
