Need help with OS

hi, my name is grant. i need help with my laptop. my laptop crashed and now says it has no os installed. i keep trying to load windows xp back onto it. it will start loading for about 2-3 minutes and will power all the way down on me. i can't seem to figure out any resolution. can anyone please help me?

Sounds either heat or power related. Try dusting your laptop out and monitoring the temperatures, and try another battery/AC adapter.
