I maintain that I would still have "cable" if they gave me more granular control to mix and match/a la carte my package. The way cable companies would often split similar content channels between multiple bulk channel packages to try and get you to upgrade was one of many reasons I eventually cut the cord, a couple years later than I should have.
This fragmentation and proliferation of standalone streaming services is starting to emulate the same situation as then, accept rather than one hand in the pot it feels like nearly a dozen. Either way I'm not buying into it. How I use the streaming services I have now barely justifies keeping them as it were, I won't be adding any more.
