The Simpsons, is right again! This is why we can't have people so close to death running our global systems. The thirst for destruction and apocalypse grows as a person begins to be destroyed themselves. We need to redefine our Human hierarchy and only allow the best of us to lead, knowing what the best of us really is by clearly defining the metrics of what a human is and can be. Socialism, Communism, any government structure is only as strong as the person running it. If our system of government allows the worst of us to lead we have doomed ourselves via system.

No, it's been widespread for many years and is well evidenced. The BBC are a very poor source to consult on this subject. The true scandal is the cowardice of those in authority who allowed this to happen.
The fact that your link is from the BBC makes me rather sceptical of the whole article.

Bbc, while not perfect, are at least legitimate news, unlike fox, or a bunch of tabloids I refuse to give air to.
Both have something in common.
If you weren't being constantly told about them by the media, you wouldn't know either was happening.

Some of the stuff posted about the UK in the comments are ridiculous . I wish people would cut down on the hyperbole and exaggerating everything to outlandish proportions.
I would take a break from watching 'the news' and reading just negative stuff for awhile if I thought the UK was some apocalyptic place ravaged by r*pe gangs

I find it amazing what people believe of a country like the UK. It makes you wonder what they believe about the rest of the world (or each other for that matter). I firmly believe that travel, education and reading broaden the mind. Unfortunately, Fox news is not an adequate substitute.
If people really want to solve climate change then they just need to find out why America is the only country on Earth that apparently doesn't have climate change.

You sound like a daily star reader mate, chill. Violence against muslims happens more than the other way around, and it's a problem in the UK, but definitely not the rampant hellhole people are trying to paint it to make themselves feel better about living in the USA under a backwards system.
All of this stupidity started with Carl Sagan and his nuclear winter theory from way back when. If enough explosions occur, the resulting dust and debris cloud would plunge the world into a permanent cold period.
Since the aforementioned nuclear war didn't happen, this whole thing went dormant until the first Gulf War. At which point Sagan was getting more air time on the news discussing how the destruction of the oil fields and the resulting heavy black cloud of the continuous oil fires will create drastic regional temperature drops.
Needless to say, no problems came to pass, the fires were put out, and the climate showed no after effects.
Here we go again.......this will, thankfully, wind up being an expensive boondoggle, and nothing more.

Ah, so the UK’s solution to climate change is playing god with the weather? Let’s hope “extreme caution” is more than just a buzzword, human interference usually causes more harm than good!
I need to stop reading posts on the internet it's too depressing. People are so misinformed and seem to wallow in conspiracy theory and nonsense. The BBC are one of the last decent news organisations striving to remain a-political and impartial. Unfortunately with recent rise of the far right in the US and even parts of Europe and such blatantly corrupt authoritarian regimes as Putin and Trump currently in power they are speaking some truths to power that these people really don't like. So how do these corrupt regimes respond? They flood the internet with nonsense and even pay tens of thousands of trolls to sit in farms and spout horsesh1t in order to attempt to discredit anyone who opposes them and to spread doubt and division. Unfortunately the window lickers and empty bottles lap it up and spout it back, loudly and it seems they actually believe it.
