New Gpu same fps? pentium D 930/HD 7750 1gb gddr5

Hi Guys! :)
I bought a gpu upgrade for my Sony Vaio Vgc rc210g(yep pretty old thing).
But I get the same fps like with my old geforce 9500gt :/
I dont understand this I was hoping for atleast a few more frames...
It runs with Win 7 x64 and 3.25gb of Ram if that helps you
cheers

That d930 3 ghz (130 watts) runs pretty hot, you might be able to able to run a D945 3.4GHz ,95 watts or a D950 3.4ghz 130 watts. can get a d945 or D950 used on eBay for $10-20. Replaced a Celeron with a D945 in an old dell for my wife, made a big difference.

yeah well my D930 runs at 95 watts. Idk if that 0,4ghz will make a big difference... I already have tried to upgrade the cpu, but it doesnt work(the board has a lga775 socket, supports up to 800mhz fsb cpu's) but well the problem is this a Oem Board so the Pentium e5700(3ghz, 65watts) I bought doesnt work :(
and I can't find anything on the internet which and if I can change the cpu on this Pc :/

Sorry, I was thinking about the D830 130Watts , Yes the max for yours is the D960 3.6Ghz @130 watts. I have a 775 Core 2 duo board and I was running a E8400 3.0Ghz but I was able to upgrade it to a modified Xeon X5472 Quad core @ 3.0Ghz.

Is your memory PC2-5300 (667Mhz) or PC2-4200 (533)? Probably would not make much difference, You said had 4GB but it is reporting 3.25 on a 64bit windows. The specs say max 2GB & 2 slots but the picture I saw showed 4 memory slots. Something must be using some. Win 7 32Bit will report around 3.25Gb. You can download CPU-Z to show your info http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html And CPU-HWmonitor to check your temps. Is your power settings set on performance? Did you look in the catalyst control panel for any setting holding you back. I know my ,HIS HD6570 IceQ idles real low and it ramps up on demand. There is a Display Driver Uninstaller but I have never used it. I found the drivers from HIS for my card work better than the latest AMD drivers. What brand is your HD7750?
OH! just thought of something, your PCIe X16 slot is probably version 1 limiting you to 4 GB/s.

My HD 7750 is from Asus.
pci express ver. 1.1
the i945p chipset which I have can't operate full 4gb of ram.
Pc2-5300 checked.
recently I had only 3gb of ram but I deinstalled the built in tv Card and free'd so 0.25gb up.
Where can I look for the Power Settings?
Yep ill check the Catalyst CC!

Depending on what game your trying to play you are CPU bottlenecked. Basically even though your card is better your CPU still can't feed anymore data to the GPU. You won't see any performance upgrade until getting a better CPU in that rig. It seems your stuck with pentium D so I would just start saving for a new mobo and ram.
