New Lenovo Laptop Keeps Typing, even I'm not Typing

Hi,

For the last few days, my laptop has started typing the number "8" or "*" or "+" or "/" when I have let my machine sit idle for a few minutes. It keeps typing the same number/symbol into infinity. It won't let me delete, just backspace, but it keeps typing even when I stand on the "backspace" key. I ran a virus and malicious software scan, but nothing was found. Has anyone seen this issue before? Any suggestions on what to do next???
