I personally dont trust Seagate. I like Wester Digital. If that HDD is gonna be used for back up and games, I would recommend a WD Blue. Also, as I said before, the Intel 330 series runs on Sandforce flash, which is known to be unreliable. Also, that isnt a great price for a Sandforce SSD. You are basically paying for the Intel brand name. I would recommend the Samsung 840 Pro instead. It is worth the extra 10 bucks.
 
I think WD is about to update their drives if I am not mistaken. That may be why, they may be cutting down the shipments.

By the way got my memory in, slot 2-4 from the CPU I think that's the right spots? and I got the evo on, so little progress lol

You can if you want but it's optional. It is USB 3.0 ports that can go in the front panel in one of your front 3.5" bays (if your case even has one) or, using the optional back plate, it can go in the back of the case. Some cases already have front panel USB 3.0 ports already built-in so if your motherboard only has one USB 3.0 header, then you might want to use that instead. If the motherboard has two USB 3.0 headers, you have more options.
 
Not sure which pci slot my graphics card goes in, gtx 670 ftw

Only if you have two Nvidia cards that you want use for SLI.

Your graphics card does not go into any PCI slot but rather a PCI-E slot and then it should go into the first PCI-E slot.

Doesn't your motherboard manual tell you all of this information?
 
I been readin my manual but I don't know what any this stuff is it's all new to me, I just put my board in I'm fixn upload a pic
 
Just a heads up buddy, your Evo's fan is placed on the wrong side. You should put the fan so that it is pushing out towards the back exhaust fan. At the position it is currently in, it will take hot air from the exhaust vent, and basically cancel out its effects. You may have to remove it and reseat it. You may have to take out the whole motherboard also. Watch these videos, since you seem to be asking regular rookie questions ;) :D. Part 2. Part 3. Do not install drivers from the discs(y).
 
The fan pops right off of the metal deal , it needs to be on the other side pushing through the metal grill thing lol?

Yeah that is the point lol. It pushes the heat off of the heatsink (the grill thing). It should be pushing towards the back exhaust.
 
Okay that will be easy fix I wasn't sure which way it went, thanks for heads up. probably not last problem il run into
 
Found out my side panel want fit on my tower cuz my fan in the side panel hits the top of my heat sink, bummer
 
Took my side fan out only way could get lid back on everyone is telling me that's not gonna hurt anything, check out how far I am! ready for software. :) :). BIG THANKS TO BLKFX1 he helped me out big time! :)
 
Awesome man! Congrats! What case is that? It looks awesome. Also, the side fan is no biggie since it isnt necessary. In some cases it actually increases temperatures. Dont install drivers from the disc btw. Did you download the chipset, USB3, and graphics drivers? Those are the main drivers you wanna install. Maybe BIOS, but that is not necessary.
 
I was told just put in my windows 7 disk and il be ready to go, im still waiting on it through mail though, I haven't installed anything yet
 
Working, get Internet in the morning and gonna install motherboard chipset , LAN, audio and graphics driver .. I went ahead installed the graphics driver from the cd I couldn't wait lol, do I need to erase that file before downloading the newest one?
