Hello all, If anybody can help, I would greatly appreciate it.
As the forum title states. Sound card sings but speakers do not.
Here is the additional Info that may help you, to help me :)

Motherboard Name Asus G1000Sn Series Notebook
CPU Type Mobile DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo T7500, 1200 MHz (6 x 200)
DDR2 CPU Type Mobile DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo T7500, 1200 MHz (6 x 200)
OS Name Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate
Video Adapter nVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS (Asus)
Realtek ALC888/1200 @ Intel 82801HBM ICH8M - HD Audio Controller PCI
Hitachi 7.2k RPM 200GB Disk

Drivers are as up to date as they can possibly get. Audio drivers are 2010 drivers.
Earphones in sound works.
EX speakers plugged in via 3.5mm jack, They will work perfectly.

Second Hard Disk, (The original 120GB that came with laptop, Vista home image)
When this is plugged in the laptop speakers work perfectly.

So my understanding is the sound card and the speakers are functional.
Normal settings checked, not muted, hardware and software for speakers is not disabled.

Device manager has no conflicts (no red or yellows showing)

When i first addressed this issue with asus, laptop got sent back, the loaded the std image, works fine, tried to load xp, got it working but due to the lack of g1s xp drivers. it was impossible to continue using xp unless i wrote the drivers my self. This i did not know how to do so i loaded Vista ultimate.

The xp limitation is due to Santa Rosa chips in case anybody is wondering.

Asus tech support on several occasions were unable to solve this issue.
I consider my self a fairly knowledgeable user of computers, But this issue has me baffled.

Please do offer your help and suggestions.
I would greatly appreciate it.
