Opinion: Intel chip advancements show they're up for a competitive challenge

Largely agree with Watzupken but I don't think their fabs are all that cutting edge anymore. Hope they get their act together though. I feel like there is something deeper wrong at Intel. Their execution over the last 3 to 4 years has been woeful. They could be handed the best fab in the world and I'm still not convinced they would improve until they deal with whatever is going on behind the scenes.
 
I wouldn't believe anything Intel claims about their future products if Jim Keller wasn't in the design team. But with Jim Keller being involved in the process, I'm hopeful. On the other hand Amd delivered what they promised with zen and I expect even better from them. It's a win-win situation for the consumer.
