PC upgrades

Hi, I'm currently rocking a Emachines model number EL1358G-51w. Just so you know this is me just trying to upgrade this to its fullest potential for an older model. It's got Windows 7 home Premium 64-bit. AMD Athlon II X2 220 dual core processor ( which I will be upgrading to a AMD Athlon II X2 280). NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE (need help with which one to upgrade to). 3gb DDR3 ( I will be upgrading to 16gb DDR3). 1Tb hard drive.
Honestly I just need help with choosing the best and most compatible graphics card. I'm also not the greatest when it comes to tech, but I get by. Also I could use some help choosing the best cpu cooler for the 280 cpu.

Get rid of that worthless 5400rpm hard drive, 7200rpm's will throw your files back and forth alot more quickly.

This "MIGHT" work with your mobo emachines, however its a very big gamble, make sure it has the most stable bios update.
Do you're homework and ask at another forum or someone else who is computer knowlegable of what cpu will work on it.
