Playboy has announced plans to sell a 250GB hard drive that has every issue between 1953 and 2010. The company is partnering with Bondi Digital Publishing, which specializes in digital content distribution. The Playboy Cover to Cover Hard Drive sells for $300. The USB bus-powered portable device allows users to search, view, explore, and organize more than 650 Playmates and more than 100,000 archived pages of content. The high-performance, aluminum hard drive measures 3" x 5", easily fits inside a briefcase or jacket pocket, and includes 200GBs of extra space to store other documents.

Announcements like this one clearly demonstrate that all types of print media is struggling nowadays, and media companies that want to stay profitable choose to succumb to providing some form of digital of distribution to their customers. Playboy is clearly hoping the release will increase sales and the popularity of its magazine.

"This is the first time that Playboy, one of the most influential brands on the globe, has offered their entire archive in one place," Murat Aktar, co-founder of Bondi Digital Publishing, said in a statement. "We're proud to partner with Playboy to bring more than five decades of thought-provoking articles, celebrity interviews and stunning photography to the consumer in a whole new way."

Two ? You planning on wearing out the first drive in a hurry?

Presumeably you'll probably try deleting Natalia Sokolova (Apl 99), Irina Voronina (Jan 01) and Dasha Astafieva (Jan 09) ....after much careful study. Russians being the nemesis of all that is law-abiding and wholesome.
I also find it amusing that a Russian - who's ethnic group is arguably the largest collection of illegal downloaders and propagators of malware/viruses/spam in the world...

Just remember that Elizabeth Ann Roberts (Jan 58) was the ripe old age of sixteen for her photo shoot, and Linda Moon seventeen. Avert your gaze lest you have to turn yourself in to the authorities.;)

......portable? Yeah, like I'd want to sit at Mcdaonadls advertising what I'm looking at, lol.

What does the enjoyment of naked Russian chicks have to do with Russia being a den of piracy and cybercrime?

TomSEA gets his knickers in a knot every time a piracy related topic surfaces and this was a very funny crack by dividebyzero.

Oh, come on Tom, you know as well as anyone: no-one needs two copies of anything when you can illegally pirate them instead.

As a side-note: what IS your stance on porn piracy?

"TomSEA gets his knickers in a knot every time a piracy related topic surfaces and this was a very funny crack by dividebyzero."

He also posted some borderline offensive comments suggesting Russia is a den of piracy related sin, and, seemingly, that this lends irony to one of its citizens filing a law suit.

Next to nothing. That said, Russia mints the best naked women ever.....! And judging by the funny scars most of them seem to have on their stomachs, they've all been spayed....

And yet Russia seems to have a complete dearth of ...(McDonalds)......coincidence?

And yes, I realise my country is second on the list....and yes, a "sizeable" proPORTION of the population could be described as bearing a marked resemblance (both exterior and interior) to Twinkies.
Just thank God you're not here. The whole country, (USA) is starting to look like a stockyard. It's the home of the "double wide" power chair.

I guess some Russian humor escapes me, although when the Russian World Cup organizer called Londoners drunks, I thought that was pretty good.

Which, "Russian humor" was it you believe you missed?
1. The women are really hot as evidenced by Russian "Art Photo" sites.

2. Many of them do have suspicious scars on their stomachs, which could possibly be an indication of tubal ligation.

3. Contemporary wisdom has it that the Russian mob is involved with the distribution of malware. (But, that's speculative).

None of this was really intended to be funny.

This people in this country, (the US), are the fattest on the planet. Which, on an absolute basis, is more tragic than comic.

About the only thing that's actually funny, is NBC thinking I'm going to suffer through 2 hours of, "The Biggest Loser", when there's anything else, up to and including suicide, as an alternative.

300GBs is a large amount of information, one wonders if Playboy has included the advertising from all those back issues, or was the 300GB necessary the allow the inclusion of Pamela Anderson's implants?

I presume this is random thought since no "Russian humor" seems to have been posted.
I would suggest Victor Pelevin as a starting point for contemporary satire. "Buddha's Little Finger" (US title. "Chapayev and Void" (Rus)/ "The Clay Machine Gun" (Europe) ) is an excellent exercise in postmodern satire.
Although given that Jay Leno and Dane Cook are both recognised in your country as "comedians" maybe the cultural divide is a little too wide.
although when the Russian World Cup organizer called Londoners drunks, I thought that was pretty good.
So you're thinking "Takes one to know one" or Pot.Kettle.Black ?
Being born and raised in North London I can attest that not all Londoners are tea-total, as would everyone who has had the Barmy Army invade their shores.

Hot, sterile and cunning. Gotcha.

All you are demonstrating is your Russian inferiority complex when it comes to America. I'm glad your parents fled Russia in order to give you a life that involves indoor plumbing, but if you really want to get into personal attacks I'm game..

For everyone that is questioning the reference made against TomSEA, check out his comment on this article https://www.techspot.com/news/41341-torrent-users-sue-us-copyright-group-for-fraud-and-extortion.html. It's the 7th comment down.

How about I get a 1.5TB hard drive and fill it up with XXX hardcore porn I can really get off to? All for $99. It's 250GB, but has 200GB extra space? You could have put that on a Blu-Ray disc then if it only takes up 50GB of space total. How about I pirate this and put it on my HDD for free. :D

"Yes Tom,......very well indeed..."

It's true, I stated that. TomSEA is going to go off now? You actually pay for porn in this day and age? sheesh

I remember walking into porn stores and seeing porn DVDs for $60. $60 for a porn DVD! If there was ever a case for piracy, that would be it.
