I do. I just had a look for stats on sales of PS5's to get some idea about how many people are happy with a purely digital future. Given the original PS5 was always available with or without a drive this would be a really good indicator of what the public want wouldn't it?

The only article I could find was from 2 years ago, but I don't think peoples preferences will have magically changed in 2 years and by then 60 million PS5's had been sold so 2/3 of all sold even now. Guess how many of those 60 million elected to spend the extra money to get full-fat disk-based version?... 48 million or 82%.
People aren't just spending that extra money for the hell of it. They do so because they want to buy, play and even sell their games (that they actually own). This nonsense Sony are trying to peddle that people only want digital is horsesh1t. Sony don't want it because they want to fully control the distribution pricing and profits. Buy from our overpriced store (sorry lease) and if you're lucky we'll still let you play the game in a couple of years but don't think you can sell it or give it to a friend etc
So given that 82% of people bought a disk based machine when given the choice are you really still saying that it won't change the numbers when the only option is digital?
