Project GPU

Okay. So I have a desktop, and no matter the screen, there is a red tint over the picture and lines running from side to side. I know that I could just go out and buy a graphics card, but I am trying to fix the problem without buying a graphics card. I have no use for the computer other than to maybe find a cheap life hack sort of ordeal. Any suggestions?

Notes/ I have tried:
  • Different cords
  • Different screens
  • A graphics card(it worked, but as I said I wish to find another way)
  • Applying thermal paste to the gpu
  • When the computer is on the gpu does not get too hot
  • Installed new drivers
  • Installed different OS

Seen this myself; in my case it was the monitor, which was a CRT and not a flat panel.
